About the Presenter
Ann Marie Corgill has been a teacher in Birmingham, Alabama, and Bronxville, New York. In 2009, she was honored as Teacher of the Year in her district and was in the final four for Alabama’s Teacher of the Year, 2009–2010. Ann was recently awarded Alabama’s 2011 Advancement of Literacy Award at this year’s annual Gulf Coast Writing Conference in San Destin, Florida. She is the author of Of Primary Importance (Stenhouse, 2008).
