About the Presenter
Linda Rourke is a National Education Consultant with Developmental Studies Center based in Oakland, CA. In this role, she offers keynotes, workshops, presentations, and professional development for administrators, literacy coaches, and teachers across the country. Prior to joining DSC, Linda was the Director of Reading for ETA/Cuisenaire where she was instrumental in identifying, shaping and supporting the implementation of a number of highly successful supplemental literacy resources and intervention programs. Over the course of her career, Linda has provided marketing, consulting, and professional development services to publishers of innovative, effective literacy materials. She has presented at state, regional, and national conferences, including IRA and Reading Recovery. Linda began her career in education more than 30 years ago as a high school English teacher. She holds a B.A. in English and an M.S. Ed. in Literacy Education, both from Northern Illinois University.
